The projects includes detergents making, fashion and design, poetry, printing and design, events management and decor, baking and cosmetology with an objective to have Persons with Albinism equipped to support themselves and engage in mainstream economic activities. The organization is planning to set up a Business Hub.
The Business Hub will operate as a business. The day to day running of the Hub follows a business model. The project is based on the premise that it should be self-sustaining, hence, following the injection of the initial start-up capital, the project should generate revenue from the realised profits to meet costs for staff and components/materials used. As a result, the project will be open to other paying customers and clients outside ADDI programmes. The majority of the customers and clients will be mobilised through and from FROM programmes spread in the country’s ten provinces. Some clients will be identified through Albinism services organisations working in partnership with ADDI. The Hub will maintain separate financial records and a standalone bookkeeping and stores system to ensure smooth auditing of books and accountability of all materials. It will also remit tax to the Authorities as a fulfilment of business requirements
